Vincent DeCicco
Vincent DeCicco, 83, of Hammonton, died Sunday, February 20 [2000], at Greenbriar Nursing Center.
Born in Hammonton, DeCicco was a lifelong resident. He retired from the NJ State Dept. of Highway in the maintenance department. He was a member of the Hammonton Chapter of Deborah, the Hammonton VFW Post 1026 and the American Legion Post 186. He also served in the U.S. Navy in WWII.
DeCicco was the husband of the late Leach (nee Schaible).
Surviving him are: one son, Greg DeCicco, of Moorestown; one sister-in-law, Shirley Crescenzo, of Hammonton; and two granddaughters, Amy and Judi.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, February 25 at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Church on N. 3rd St. in Hammonton. Friends may call Thursday evening, February 24, after 7 p.m. at the Marinella Funeral Home at 102 N. Third St.
Donations may be made to the Hammonton Chapter of Deborah, c/o Madhe Codone, 102 N. 3rd St., Hammonton, NJ 08037.
Arrangements were made by the Marinella Funeral Home.

Janice D. Passarella
Janice D. Passarella (Wiegand), 60, wife of the late Michael A., of Waterford, Winslow Twp., died Sunday, February 20 [2000], at her home.
Born in Laurel Springs, Passarella was an area resident all her life. She was a graduate of LCCRHS class of 1957, a member of the St. Anthony’s church choir, and she taught CCD at St. Anthony’s. She was a teacher’s aid at Thomas Richard School in Waterford Township, an Edgewood High School Band Booster, and a volunteer at West Jersey Hospital in Berlin. She was past president of the Ladies’ Auxiliary of Waterford Vol. Fire Co.
Surviving her are: two sons, Michael A. Passarella Jr. and his wife Annmarie, of Lutz, Fla., and Mark Passarella and his wife Christina, of Cedar Brook; one daughter, Michelle and her husband Bill Sherwood, of Blue Anchor; two brothers, Bernhard Wiegand, of Medford Lakes, and Guy Wiegand, of Atco; one sister, Barbara Bramble, of Ridley Park, Pa.; and four grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the viewing on Wednesday, February 23, at the Marinella Funeral Home, 102 N. Third St., Hammonton. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, February 24, at 10 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Church on Pennington Ave. in Waterford.
Internment will follow at Berlin Cemetery.
Donations may be made to St. Anthony of Padua Church, 436 Pennington Ave., Waterford, NJ 08089.
Arrangements were made by the Marinella Funeral Home.

Ernest Dutremble
Ernest Dutremble, 86, of Hammonton, died Wednesday, February 23 [2000], at his residence.
Born in Biddeford, Maine, Dutremble lived in Hammonton for the past 42 years. He was a retired self-employed automobile mechanic. He was a member of the Hammonton American Legion Post #186 and the D.A.V. and served in the U.S. Army during WWII and Korean Conflict.
Dutremble was the husband of the late Amanda (nee Pinto).
Surviving him are: his son Mel Dutremble, of Hampton, NH; his daughter, Reajeane Roberge, of Biddeford, Maine; his sister, Alice J. Toussaint, of Saco, Maine; his nephew, Christopher Pinto, of Hammonton; two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends attended a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, February 25, at St. Anthony of Padua Church in Hammonton. Burial followed at Oak Grove Cemetery in Hammonton.
Arrangements were made by the Marinella Funeral Home.

Helen Rogers
Helen Rogers (Willis) 85, of Folsom, died on Wednesday, February 23 [2000], at her daughter’s residence after a long illness.
Born in Philadelphia, Rogers lived in Folsom for more than 40 years. She was a member of Laurelwood Seventh-Day Adventist Church for more than 45 years, where she was a head deaconess and taught Sabbath School.
Rogers was the wife of the late William H. Surviving her are: two sons, Robert Rogers, of Cedarbrook, and William Rogers, of Washington Twp.; two daughters, Arlene Wayne, of Voorhees, and Carol Cavanaugh, of Ansonia, Conn.; two sisters, Effie Graham, of Pennsauken, and Ethel Parker, of Lansdowne, Pa.; 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends attended funeral services on Tuesday, February 29, at the Marinella Funeral Home in Hammonton. Burial followed at St. James Lutheran Cemetery in Folsom.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Laurelwood Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 3051 Good Intent Rd., Deptford, NJ 08096.
Arrangements were made by the Marinella Funeral Home.

Dr. Peter E. Wolfe
Dr. Peter E. Wolfe, 88, of Nesco, died on Sunday, February 27 [2000], at the Wm. B. Kessler Memorial Hospital in Hammonton.
Born in Nesco, Wolfe’s home was at the Wolfe Farms of Nesco. He was a graduate of Hammonton High School Class of 1928, where he was captain of the football team. He graduated from Rutgers University in 1933, and then attended Princeton University in 1937. He graduated with a Ph.D. in geology in 1941 and became a professor of geology at Rutgers University, New Brunswick and Cooks College of NJ.
Wolfe traveled the world for his geological studies and also studied the “Moon Rocks”. In 1977, he published a book “The Geology and Landscapes of New Jersey.” He also published numerous research papers on geomorphology of the Rocky Mountains, Newfoundland, New Jersey and India. In trying to sum up Wolfe’s many accomplishments in his field, he was an outdoorsman, geologist, and world traveler. He was a Life Resident of the Nassau Club of Princeton, a member of the Nassau Gun Club, the Amateur Ski Club of New York and the Princeton Club of New York. He was a life member and past president of the Bighorn-Yellowstone Research Association of Red Lodge, Montana. He was also a Fellow of the Geological Society of America and an Honorary Member of the Deccan Geological Society of India.
Wolfe was a bachelor. Surviving him are: his nieces, Mary Ann Burke, of Nesco, and Camille Miller, of Fla.; his grand-nieces, Lou Ann Whiteley and her husband John, of Nesco, and Kristin Burke, of Nesco; his grand-nephews, Frank Burke III and his wife Debbie, of Nesco, and William Burke, of Nesco; his great-grandnephews, Frank Burke IV, of Nesco, and Kyle Burke, of Nesco, and Matt Whiteley, of Williamstown.
Relatives and friends attended funeral services on Thursday, March 2, at the Landolfi Funeral Home in Hammonton.Internment followed at the Batsto-Pleasant Mills Cemetery.
Arrangements were made by the Landolfi Funeral Home.

John P. Ammirato
John P. Ammirato, 46, formerly of Hammonton, of San Raphael, Calif., died Tuesday, February 22 [2000], at his residence.
Born in Norristown, Pa., Ammirato was a resident of San Raphael, Calif., since 1981 where he was a general contractor and owned the J.A. Construction Company.
Surviving him are: his parents, Rudy and Carmella Ammirato, of Hammonton; a daughter, Jill Ammirato and her mother Denise, of Hammonton; four brothers, Steve Ammirato, of Collings Lakes, Rudy Ammirato, of Atco, Michael Ammirato, of Hammonton, and Mark Ammirato, of Williamstown; his companion, Tina Tang, of San Rafael, Calif.; and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends attended memorial services on Friday, March 3, at the Landolfi Funeral Home in Hammonton. Burial was private at the Holy Sepulcher Cemetery in Hammonton.
Memorial contributions may be sent to The Delancy Street Foundation, 600 Embarcadero, San Francisco, CA 94107.
Arrangements were made by the Landolfi Funeral Home.

Marie C. Ordille
Marie C. Ordille (Natter), 82, of Hammonton, died Sunday, March 5 [2000], at the Wm. B. Kessler Memorial Hospital in Hammonton.
Born in Egg Harbor City, Ordille lived in Hammonton most of her life. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Church Altar Rose Society and Hammonton Senior Citizens.
Ordille was the wife of the late Charles.
Surviving her are: four sons, Charles Ordille, of Mays Landing, George Ordille, of Egg Harbor, Joseph Ordille, of Hammonton, and Anthony Ordille; two daughters, Kathleen Goldberg, of Collingswood, and Georgene Newman, of Folsom; one sister, Rita Archetto, of Egg Harbor; 16 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends attended a Mass of Christian Burial today at 9:30 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Church in Hammonton.Burial followed at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery in Hammonton.
Arrangements were made by the Marinella Funeral Home.

Willhemina Bradshaw
Wilhemina Bradshaw, 94, of Pleasant Mills, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 5 [2000], at Greenbriar Nursing Center in Hammonton.
Born in Turnersville, Bradshaw lived in this area for 29 years. She was a retired teacher and principal for the Monroe Twp. Board of Education, and worked in the Washington Twp. and Harrison Twp. School Districts. She was a past member of the John Irvin Ladies’ Auxiliary of the American Legion in Runnemede, a member of the NJ State Teachers Association and Calvary Chapel.
Surviving her are: one daughter, Anne Feralio, of Williamstown; two granddaughters, Dianne Lombardo and her husband Vincent Jr., and Sharon Adams; three great-grandchildren, Ashley Lombardo, Rachel Lombardo, and Vincent Lombardo III.
Relatives and friends attended memorial services today at 11:30 a.m. at Calvary Chapel in the Peach Tree Plaza on the White Horse Pike. Burial was private & at the convenience of the family.
The family requests donations to Calvary Chapel of Hammonton, PO Box 374, Hammonton, NJ 08037.
Arrangements were made by the Carnesale Funeral Home.

The Rev. Umberto Carta
The Reverend Umberto Carta, 88, of Elm, died Monday, March 6 [2000], at home.
Born in Melilli, Siracusa, Italy, Carta was naturalized as an American citizen on January 16, 1946. Rev. Carta was ordained as a priest on July 7, 1935, in Canavese, Turin, Italy. He was assistant pastor in several area churches including St. Anne’s in Westville, Our Lady of Victories in Landisville, St. Nicholas in Egg Harbor, Our Lady of Mt. Carmel in Camden, and St. Mary’s in Williamstown. He was the founding pastor of St. Anthony of Padua RC Church in Hammonton. He became pastor at St. Anthony’s on August 4, 1965. He stayed at St. Anthony’s until his retirement on July 1, 1981.
Carta is survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends attended a Funeral Mass on Thursday, March 9, at St. Anthony of Padua Church in Hammonton. Burial followed at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery in Hammonton.
